This area of life is so huge in content that it is hard not to want to be a master of all that you come across. Personally I have stuck to Tarot reading as my main area of expertise, which has also developed a heightened psychic sense for me. I believe everyone has psychic ability but whether they choose to use it is another question altogether. Some folk fall upon the ability by chance and their curiosity turns into more than a passing interest. Some are drawn, as I was, to something that sets them on their path. And others practise and study to gain knowledge and ability. Whichever category you fall into the desire to help others with your gifts is, in my opinion, paramount to the cause. 

I know a lot of gifted people and almost without exception, and I include myself in this, in times of stress and pressure, despite knowing what we know, we cannot help ourselves. So we have to turn to each other for help and rather than be wary of reading for another psychic/medium the experience is usually a great buzz and highly fulfilling and informative for both parties. So this is a message to all of you out there embarking on psychic work - find folk of a similar ilk and stage of ability to you and practice like mad with them. Like any subject, and even with the most gifted folk, practice makes perfect, or as perfect as we can get in this world.

Even the most hardened cynic, perhaps will accept that there is a sense beyond the regular five we possess. Back in the Middle Ages this "sense" was considered to be witchcraft and really up to the Victorian times, any kind of dabbling with this was called religious heresy or was very quickly suppressed. Even today, we are bulldozed with science and anything that cannot be quantified by known means has no place in our society. The "psi factor" is a term for the sixth sense that is becoming quite common in normal language now and there are a growing number of organisations all investigating the paranormal further. The media is now capitalising on the ability of psychics and mediums by realising there is a huge captive audience available to them eager to learn and connect with spirit. 

Let's begin with what gets most people excited and passionate about this subject - understanding and predicting the future! How exactly do we receive messages and decode them to understand their content? I have always seen the connection to spirit rather like a radio dial except this dial is somewhat longer and it can take some time before you find a frequency where you can "feel" spirit. In my early days of trying to connect I used to regularly ask for "Help, Love, Guidance & Protection". Every night without fail I would ask for these 4 things and after a while I felt that something had changed and that I was getting closer and "warmer". I had always heard words in my mind that would come to me at usually very unexpected times and that had no bearing on what I was doing at the time. This was the start of being able to link and decipher the messages from spirit. Once I listened and tried to understand these words, so the words became longer and sentences would be given to me. This obviously made a lot more sense than odd words thrown at me out of the ether. 

So from those early days, actually the early 1970's, I developed the art of being able to tune into my personal spirit radio and get messages for others. Since then my radio is permanently on and I am fortunate enough to receive messages all day long for my family and friends. So why haven't I won the lottery yet and bought my island in the sun? Well I have always said this gift is for giving to others and my rewards are what the spirits see fit for me. Have any psychics/mediums won large sums of money from speaking to the spirit world for the numbers? Well no more than any other person. 

I think that everybody has psychic ability, some with a more heightened sense than others. Anyone could be psychic regardless of colour, ethnic and religious background, sex and age, and come from any walk of life. There is no discrimination here. It has been noted that identical twins tend to have a strong psychic link with each other and people who have had head injuries of some kind seem to have a heightened sense of extra sensory perception.
